The Eventmanager is the central management software for AB Events (formerly AB SportEvent) — a tour operator organizing bus trips to sports and cultural events as complete packages. As business volume grew, the company reached the limits of manual management with separate spreadsheets for bookings, payments, and capacities.
The system consolidates all business processes into a single application: A comprehensive master data module manages events with all associated resources — departure points, hotels with room categories, vehicles with bus operators, event tickets, seating blocks, and optional excursions. The integrated customer management includes participant assignment to events, payment tracking with dunning, credit management, and a partner system with commission billing.
The event calculation engine automates the most logistically demanding tasks: vehicle assignment optimally distributes participants across buses, room assignment allocates guests to available hotel rooms, and block assignment assigns seats in stadiums or event venues. Disposition management generates billing overviews, PDF documents, and print templates for operational use.
An integrated content management system enables maintenance of the company website with page structure management, image editing, newsletter dispatch, and offer maintenance. Over 11 configurable master data types — from event types to ticket categories to vehicle and hotel room types — allow flexible customization without developer intervention.
The software has been continuously developed since 2014 and today enables parallel management of over 20 travel packages. The 80% time savings in booking and billing provided the foundation for 300% revenue growth.
