The project focussed on the development, testing and deployment of state-of-the-art microarchitecture applications in the context of a merchandise management system. These applications are based on REST technology and are designed to maximise the flexibility, scalability and efficiency of the overall system. A central aspect of the project involved the implementation of an anti-corruption layer, which acted as an interface between the individual systems. This layer ensures secure and reliable data transfer, regardless of the different data formats and protocols used in the various systems. It also ensured that the applications could be seamlessly integrated into existing SAP systems by using REST APIs to enable smooth communication and data transfer.
