The project focused on developing a platform for digitizing all examination processes of the German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHKs). The goal was to transfer previously largely manually managed examination workflows into a unified digital system — standardized yet flexible enough for the individual requirements of different examination types and IHK locations.

The platform was built on CoreFrame (formerly RADFramework) — a model-driven development platform with C#/.NET backend and HTML5/JavaScript frontend. CoreFrame’s generic rule engine enables flexible mapping of different examination processes without custom programming: from dangerous goods safety advisor examinations to ADR driver certification for hazardous materials transport and other examination types, workflows can be configured and customized.

The digitized examination lifecycle covers the complete process chain: preparation and management of examination documents, candidate admission verification, organization and scheduling, actual examination execution with result capture, automated evaluation, and certificate issuance and archiving.

Requirements analysis was conducted in close collaboration with IHK departments, including on-site workshops at IHK München. The platform ensures that examinations are conducted efficiently while guaranteeing quality, fairness, and regulatory compliance.
