Our Own Project
FUNC is not just a client project – it's our own. The idea was born during a horse ride when we saw horses wearing zebra blankets. What initially seemed quirky had a scientific background: the stripe pattern irritates insects and makes it harder for them to land. Anyone who spends a lot of time outdoors – riding, hiking, or camping – knows the problem with mosquitoes and horseflies. The thought was obvious: Why doesn't something like this exist for humans? That's how the idea for the Flystopper was born.

A good idea needs a strong appearance. We built FUNC from the ground up: name, logo, color scheme, and product design. The zebra pattern is not only functional – it's also the visual hallmark of the brand. Modern, memorable, and with a story behind it.

Partnership with VAUDE Professional
Sustainability was a must from the start – but hardly achievable as a startup on our own. The solution: a partnership with VAUDE Professional, the development and manufacturing division of outdoor equipment company VAUDE. This gave us access to years of experience in sportswear, established supply chains, and the highest sustainability standards. The first prototypes were tested on horses and during walks, feedback was collected and immediately implemented. After several iterations, a product emerged weighing only 160 grams, with SPF 25-50 sun protection and breathable mesh – climate-neutral, Oeko-Tex certified, and Fair Wear.
Market Launch funcwear.de
The final Flystopper was ready: ultralight, UV protection, breathable mesh, and a practical two-way zipper. With the launch of funcwear.de, the product went online – a Shopify shop with complete corporate design. Climate-neutral, Fair Wear certified, and 100% Made in Europe.
